The financial (minimum income) requirement for partner visas
British people who want to sponsor a foreign spouse or partner for a visa must normally earn £29,000 a year. A review of this policy is due to report in June 2025.

The draft Childcare (Early Years Provision Free of Charge) (Extended Entitlement) Regulations 2016 provide further detail on the Government’s 30 hours of free childcare policy, which is due to be introduced across England from September 2017.
The draft regulations have been published following a consultation, and will be subject to the affirmative procedure.
