This reading list is a follow-up to the previous compilation Brexit: a reading list of post-EU Referendum publications by the UK Parliament and the Devolved Assemblies.
Section 1 covers publications produced since the UK’s withdrawal from the EU on 31 January 2020. These mainly relate to the implications of UK withdrawal from the EU, the UK’s new status outside the EU, and future relations between the UK and the EU. This also includes publications on the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement finalised in December 2020.
Section 2 covers publications on the UK-EU Withdrawal Agreement and accompanying Political Declaration, and on UK legislation to implement the Withdrawal Agreement (the EU (Withdrawal Agreement) Act 2020). This includes publications both before and after the UK’s withdrawal from the EU on 31 January 2020 where the principal focus is on analysing these texts and their implications. Publications relating to the implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement and the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland are also included in this section. This section excludes publications listed in Section 1. This list is not exhaustive and other publications prior to 31 January which discuss the implications of UK withdrawal from the EU can be found in the previous compilation Brexit: a reading list of post-EU Referendum publications by the UK Parliament and the Devolved Assemblies.
