The Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill 2010-11 introduced new Rules for the Redistribution of Seats in the House of Commons. This Note set out how the Rules for the Redistributions of Seats in the Commons had evolved from the Speaker’s Conference in 1944 up to the introduction of the Bill.
