Eligible British veterans of the Arctic Convoys will be allowed to accept and wear the Russian Ushakov Medal, the Foreign Secretary announced on 17 June 2013. This is a reversal of the previously held position and is an exception to the current rules governing the acceptance and wearing of foreign orders, decorations and medals.
