This page provides constituency-level data on schools funding. This is broken down by constituency data, and school level data. Data is currently available for England only.
Use the dropdown menu below to select the constituency you’re interested in and view key statistics.
Data in this dashboard is for state-funded schools in England only.
Data is in real terms (2018/19 prices).
Core revenue funding for schools is also known as the schools block, which is a component of the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG). The schools block excludes high (special) needs funding, the new central school services block, early years funding, and the pupil premium.
Constituency level figures are estimates that have been built up from school-level schools block allocations. These figures are published as transparency data by the Department for Education. Per pupil data is calculated by dividing schools block funding allocations, with the number of pupils on roll.
Regional and England figures are derived from a different DfE data source: annual DSG allocations. For 2018/19, Region/ England figures include central school services block (CSSB) funding. 2018/19 is the first year in which CSSB has been allocated.
We aim to update this dashboard annually, in line with data releases from the Department of Education, but the data shown here may not be the latest available. MPs and their staff can contact the Commons Library with queries about updates.
